ChiliProject is not maintained anymore. Please be advised that there will be no more updates.

We do not recommend that you setup new ChiliProject instances and we urge all existing users to migrate their data to a maintained system, e.g. Redmine. We will provide a migration script later. In the meantime, you can use the instructions by Christian Daehn.

Hello again, I've another question.

Is it possible to configure what the subject line of an email will be for the automatic email notifications sent by ChiliProject? I've got one of our user's who feels that a different subject line might be more effective and eye catching for situations when he gets a message after I've set an issue he's reported to the "Feedback" status.

I poked around in the various settings interfaces but couldn't see anything. It appears the format is:

[Project Name - Feature #XX] Issue Subject

Anyhow, just curious. I don't think I'd go so far as to necessarily requesting this as a feature (or if I did, it'd be low priority) since I have other means to make these messages stand out (email filters). But, if it's already possible, I'd like to use it.

The subject line format can't be changed without meddling with the code/changing it from a plugin, sorry. ChiliProject messages do have a lot of different custom headers set though, those should be enough to filter them to some prominent place :-)

I was thinking about this today. It would be nice to have email subject lines defined in the i18n files so they can be overridden more easily. The only way to do it without modifying the source is to patch Mailer and copy-and-paste the entire mailer method.

Is there a way to change the rules for the email subject when an issue is updated? Basically I would like all updates for a particular issue to be grouped within Gmail as a conversation. However, as the subject line changes on update to include '(New)', '(Resolved)' etc, it breaks Gmail's conversation rule and displays it as a new conversation.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
