tracking/issue modification but without having to click on edit first

Added by Guillaume Bourque at 2011-04-12 03:00 am

Hi All.

I like chiliproject and start using it regularly but I'm an old trac fan. One of the thing I like about the issue traking system in trac is the ability to modify part of a ticket very fast and easily. I think that chiliproject users could benefit of this too.

For example:

With trac When you select a ticket, at the bottom of the ticket you have access to "Change Properties" of the ticket and you can do some simple action as to
accept the ticket close the ticket or add a simple comment, all this without having to click on modify the ticket first.

With chiliproject you can do the same but before changing anything when your on a ticket you need to first click on "Edit this ticket"

It would be great to have an option on the configuration page to have an ready to update when on a ticket for admin or for everybody ?

Let me know if I was not clear since French is my native language.

Thanks for this great project.

Guillaume

I've never used trac much (my contact with it was mostly through other open source software using it), and I'm not quite sure what you want.

Do you want a simpler "modification pane" for issues, or some sort of "quick actions" for issues that would directly close a ticket or things like that? (I speak french too, feel free to explain your request in french if you are more comfortable with it). Can you maybe provide a few screenshots of what you mean?

Hi,

Here is a screenshot of the trac ticket interface when you look at a ticket.

You will see that the top section is similar to the chili one but after the ticket detail you can modify the ticket status without having to first click on modify.

Would that make sense ?

Thanks,

Guillaume
