ChiliProject is not maintained anymore. Please be advised that there will be no more updates.

We do not recommend that you setup new ChiliProject instances and we urge all existing users to migrate their data to a maintained system, e.g. Redmine. We will provide a migration script later. In the meantime, you can use the instructions by Christian Daehn.

Better Kanban Implementation Concept

Added by George Plymale at 2011-11-14 05:26 pm

I have really appreciated the kanban concept for some time now and just found a very nice implementation that's seemingly about an ideal execution: http://trello.com

It would really be tremendous to see something of this nature integrated into ChiliProject that is this style of integration.

Hi George,

First of all, sorry for the late reply.

Regarding Kanban, there are so many different "Agile" variations that it would be pretty hard to get something into the ChiliProject that would work for everyone. I think the way to go for such things are plugins, there's for example the Redmine Kanban plugin, I'm not sure it works with ChiliProject, but seeing it is from Eric and he is a core committer here, he should be able to fix it ;-)

Furthermore, just saying "this other system is good" is a little hard from a developer/maintainer point of view to grasp and implement :-) Could you be more precise about what you like better there so that we can weigh whether it's something we can work on and/or that should go in a plugin? Thanks!
