ChiliProject is not maintained anymore. Please be advised that there will be no more updates.

We do not recommend that you setup new ChiliProject instances and we urge all existing users to migrate their data to a maintained system, e.g. Redmine. We will provide a migration script later. In the meantime, you can use the instructions by Christian Daehn.

Added by Erik Hetényi at 2011-04-14 07:33 am

Hello

In my company we are using redmine from Nov. 2010. Now I find this chiliproject and I wanted to know what is the difference between this and redmine?
Is there any exact plans what will be the differences?

Regards
Erik Hetényi

Hi Erik,

I'm in a similar position and only discovered ChiliProject yesterday after reading this thread on the Redmine forum.

The best way I can think of to help answer your question is by directing you to the article Why fork? and also the FAQ

Erik Hetényi:

We have been trying to keep the 1.x versions of ChiliProject close to Redmine so they are as compatible as possible. The easiest way to see what features are different are to see what has been added to our releases:

The major new feature development will be happening in 2.0.0. We are also regularly pulling new features and bug fixes from Redmine in too.

Like Sam said, the Why Fork? and FAQ pages are the best places to understand the non-code differences (i.e. how the projects are run). Hope this helps.
