ChiliProject is not maintained anymore. Please be advised that there will be no more updates.

We do not recommend that you setup new ChiliProject instances and we urge all existing users to migrate their data to a maintained system, e.g. Redmine. We will provide a migration script later. In the meantime, you can use the instructions by Christian Daehn.

There are many minor things still not implemented in Redmine's REST API, which makes it usage somewhat inconvenient.

Good idea but see https://www.chiliproject.org/boards/2/topics/67 (tl;dr: rewrite REST api)

Updated by Alexey Java at 2011-05-20 06:04 pm

refactoring is a good thing, but maybe we could add some important features to the existing API first...

Updated by Eric Davis at 2011-05-20 06:19 pm

It's not a refactoring, it's a rewrite.

it looks to me that Chiliproject development is not going very fast, which makes me worry that a complete rewrite for the REST API would take a looooong time, while people need some particular REST API features today...

I disagree. The unstable (2.0) branch is under a lot of development and we have been merging in a lot of developer branches recently where most work happens.

I'm planning to do it in June (Edavis10). If you'd like to speed it up, I'd appreciate the help.

I don't know Ruby, plus I'm swamped with Task Adapter and Redmine Java API projects (in addition to my day job!)... :)

I submitted a new request about REST API: https://www.chiliproject.org/issues/448
Hopefully this can be implemented in the new version.
